Cleary Coaching Sportsmanship Award

Dr. Cleary was instrumental to the Association in many ways including Coaching and implementing B & C teams programs for the Pirates. Many Portsmouth kids have been very positively impacted by their exposure to the competitive and recreational teams and programs run by Dr. Cleary. Dr. Tim Cleary passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2003. He will be missed.

 

Awarded in honor of Tim Cleary - a coach who always brought a positive outlook to the soccer field. He taught his players that a "winning attitude" based on fair play, respect for your opponent and having fun is more important than winning the game.

Cote Volunteerism Award

Awarded in Honor of Dr. Norman Cote - an Administrator, Coach, supporter, fan who continued to give and participate year after year. Involved in the PYSA Summer Rec programs, Portsmouth Pirates Soccer Club and the Portsmouth Invitational Soccer Tournament.
