For those participating in tryouts for U10 (Fall 08), U12's and U14's:
All players need to be registered in order to participate in tryouts. If you register the day of tryouts, you need to print out the "Proof of Registration" page and show it to the tryout coordinator. If the player is not registered they will not be allowed to participate in tryouts. NO EXCEPTIONS
Players will be allowed to tryout for one age group only. For example, if a player participates in the U12 process, they will be placed on a U12 team and would not be allowed to tryout for a U14 team. NO EXCEPTIONS
If a player is attempting to play up, based on age, they need to get the approval from that particular age group tryout coordinator.
If you have any questions, please contact your age group tryout coordinator.
1. AGE ELIGIBILITY: Click the blue "Fee Schedule" Button after clicking registration link.
2. NAME: Enter the name of your child as it appears on the birth certificate. This is required by the state. There is an additional field for you to enter a nickname if you desire. Also have your insurance cards handy. All information is private and we do not give or sell any information to 3rd parties.
3. MULTIPLE CHILDREN: If you have multiple children playing, there is a $5 discount for each child in the fall and spring. We used to give a $10 discount at one time, but the database can't handle a one time deduction. So the database will charge full price for first child and take $10 off for second child (to account for the first child's deduction), then $5 for third. Anyone with 4 or more children playing will only pay for the 3 oldest children (please send us an email if more than 3 are playing). The preferred payment method is by credit card. Checks should be sent to 255 Sandy Point Ave.
4. CREDIT CARD PAYMENT DISCOUNT: Registration fees are reduced if you register using credit card before 06/30/08. Regular fees will be applied after that date.
5. U16 50% RULE (U16 teams only play in the spring - no fall U16 teams): The following paragraph is the rule out of the Rhode Island Interscholastic League Rules and Regulations Book, Article 7 – Section 6, Paragraph D
D. During the academic year, a student athlete may participate in non-school sponsored competition in a sport provided:
Prospective members of a high school club, freshman, junior varsity or varsity team do not comprise in excess of fifty (50%) percent of the active members of the non-school team.
Please note this is NOT an Soccer RI rule. SRI sent this out to all organizations. If you have any questions about this rule please contact your high school’s athletic director.
