Thanks to all players for participating in this years GU14 try out process. Thanks also to the 10 coaches for volunteering their time to help with the evaluations. This is a very subjective process that requires as much objectivity as possible. To that end, four of these volunteers do not have a daughter playing in this age group. The other 6 coaches did not evaluate their own daughter.
The basis for evaluations included: foot skills, stamina, soccer sense/field awareness, quickness, agility, decision making, anticipation, instinct and playing experience. In addition, I personally contact the previous years coaches for their assessment of given players experiences. Ultimately each player is ranked in relation to the other players in the process taking all of these factors into account.
