Coach Licensing
PYSA Summer Rec does not require licenses as prerequisite for Head Coaches.
However, priority may be given to licensed Head Coach volunteers. Prior
experience is a consideration in determining Head Coach assignments but
assignments are generally filled on a "first come" basis; therefore,
volunteer Head Coaches should get applications in to Director of Coaches as
soon as possible to ensure assignment. Previous PYSA Summer Rec or Pirate
coaching does not guarantee assignment as Head Coach. Previous unfavorable
experiences may prevent assignment as Head Coach in PYSA Summer Recreational
Program. All Head Coach/team assignments are final. SWAPPING PLAYERS IS
NOT ALLOWED AND IS GROUNDS FOR DISMISSAL. Volunteer Head
Coaches may make special requests only in writing on/with application.
