The PYSA Competitive Soccer Program is offered in the fall and spring and is our core developmental program designed to help build individual player confidence, skills, team dynamics, and love of the game. Our U8 (spring only) and all U10 and older teams travel to compete in Super Liga, a Rhode Island youth soccer league, as well as tournaments. Our U6 and U8 (fall only) teams do not travel, but participate in our in-house training program that introduces the basic rules of the game and focuses on skill development through fun activity-based games and scrimmages.

The fall soccer season ranges from early September to early November. The spring soccer season ranges from late March to Mid June. Information about tryouts for our U10 and older teams are posted below. If you have any questions, please contact: compcoord@pysa.com

Registration for the fall season opens in early June and annual tryouts for U10 and older teams are held in late June. Registration for the spring season opens in November and closes on February 1st for U8 and older teams (players can be wait listed). U6 registration is always open. Players registering who did not attend the June tryouts will be placed on a waiting list. For more information about registration and fees, click here.

PYSA has moved to a new registration database. We will no longer use GotSoccer as the method to register players and coaches. Our new database is Stack Sports. Emails have been sent to parents and coaches explaining how to access their existing accounts which have been transferred to Stack Sports, as well as some additional data input requirements for the fall 2019 season. If you are creating a new account to register a new player(s) and/or coach, it best to create and use the same account for all your registrations.

Age Division Overview for Competitive Soccer

There are no tryouts for the U6 and U8 divisions. Tryouts for U10 through U14 fall/spring sessions are held once a year in late June. Tryouts for the U16 and U19 spring session are held in the late fall or winter (as needed). If you cannot not attend tryouts or have questions, please contact your Age-Level Coordinator.
