PORTSMOUTH PIRATES SOCCER CLUB
The Portsmouth Pirates Soccer Club program is offered in the fall and spring and is our core developmental program designed to help build individual player confidence, skills, team dynamics, and love of the game. Our U8 (spring only) and all U10 and older teams travel to compete in Super Liga, a Rhode Island youth soccer league, as well as tournaments. Our U6 and U8 (fall only) teams do not travel, but participate in our in-house training program that introduces the basic rules of the game and focuses on skill development through fun activity-based games and scrimmages.
The fall season ranges from late August to early November and the spring season ranges from late March to mid June. Information about tryouts for our U10 and older teams are posted below.
Age Division Overview for Competitive Soccer
There are no tryouts for the U6 and U8 divisions. Tryouts for U10 through U14 fall/spring sessions are held in late June and early July. Tryouts for the U16 and U19 spring session are held in the late fall or winter (as needed). Players registering for a travel team who did not attend tryouts will be placed on a waiting list. For more information, please contact the Age-Level Coordinator listed in the tryout schedule below.
